Poly or Pan?
Both embrace the notion that gender is not binary.
So a girl would be attracted to females, males, and transgender and cisgendered people.

I understand Poly/Pansexual and probably would've described myself that way before getting married. It didn't really change when I got married, per se, but it became a moot point. Not really sure the difference in all the terms anymore. I was open to meeting the right person regardless of male, female or transgender. The person I married just happened to be a man, but I didn't simply marry him because he is a man.

To be honest with you, I think all the creative labels are kind of BS. I suppose I could take some flak for saying that, but at some point it just becomes splitting hairs. This goes for myself back then (and even now):  My goal wasn't to find a person based on their gender, but I wasn't really keen on calling myself anything but by name. So I'm not hung up on labels. At all. I found this once, and this should better explain what I mean by splitting hairs:

"A pansexual is defined as a person who participates in (or is open to) sexual activities of many kinds."

"Polysexuality refers to people who are attracted to more than one gender or sex but do not wish to identify as bisexual because it implies that there are only two binary genders or sexes. @NightCometh - I realize the whole debate on transgender is controversial, which is where the "more than two sexes" comes in.  And hence, certain labels kind of drive me nuts. No disrespect to someone who is transgender, but I still consider there to be only two genders also.  

Just goes to show you a human will do just about anything to be different than anyone else.

@DirtyAndShaken - "More than two sexes" would also include people who are intersexual. There are many varieties of intersexuality, and it's completely biological.

@BoulderChristina - You're a swinger, so of course, you have no answer. As long as you and your husband are getting diddled by strangers, I guess...The easiest way to stick with a spouse without having to admit there's an underlying issue or trying to address anything, is fixing it by allowing other people into the marital bed, I guess.
