    What would a very Orthodox Roman Catholic, think of having his own birthday celebrated instead of Easter?

  • Gay Marriage or War?

     

     

    In the news the last few day North Korean has been threatening war. Moving it artillery and troops up the border and aiming its missiles at US bases in Hawaii, Guam and South Korea. And yes they do have missiles that can do it and nuclear weapons

     

     

     

    No one seems to even know this is going one all the talk is about a long running drama in the USA call gay marriage

     

     

    Is nuclear war an insignificant issue compared to gay marriage?

    Or are the people of the USA horribly uninformed about anything outside of its borders, and most things inside of them?

    Unless those things involved celebrities or the issues that celebrities care most about. Legalization of weed, gay marriage, etc.

    You can go back to pop culture and other stupid subjects. Its only war, nothing important at all really.

    Homosexual marriage is over covered right now. And I have not been keeping current of the legal arguments in the two supreme court cases on that subject. Most of the writers writing about it act like they are talking about the law. But wow they do not know what they are talking about. Dudes read the court cases and arguments before acting like to know what you are talking about. These cases have nothing to do with red equal profile pictures on Facebook. I do not want to be another ignorant writer nor do I want to rerun my libertarian ideas on the states licensing so called rights. Hint look up the word license and read what it means.

     

    Can a boy ever be made into girls? I am not about to touch the born that way vs not born that way discussion. This is not about the rarest of rares “hermaphrodites”. This is only about transvestites. Those poor folks who see themselves as being born a sex, they do not want to see themselves as. Guys who feel more comfortable as girls and girls who see themselves as a boy in the wrong body. A lot of laws are being passed saying that a transgender must be treated as the sex they want to be. And are in the process of cosmetic surgery and hormone replacement to make themselves appear to be.  Legally treating transgenders, as the sex they want to be and often look like, seems fair until you start to look at …

    The undefeated Fallon Fox

     

    She has never lost a fight and none of her opponents have ever gone a full minute against her. She just over powers them all. Almost like a male fighter can do to a female fighter. Six years ago he (Fallon Fox) started becoming a woman. The reaction to this news

    “She wants to be able to fight women in MMA? I say no fucking way! I say if you had a dick at one point in time, you also have all the bone structure that comes with having a dick.     Do you see a case for job discrimination in this one case? If you do isn’t that an admission that Boys can never really be Girls and Girls can never honestly be Boys?

    Sometimes life is not fair and maybe we should not lie about that.

    I’m ultra busy right now. And when I am not as busy, I have found the empty screen looks rather intimidating.Words do not flow so easily today.

    The thoughts are there, I still want to tell  my tales and give my opinions.

    Its all there, wanting to come out, but it seems a wall separates my ideas from this blank screen

     

     I’m asking for help.  What should I talk about on tomorrows blog entry?

  • Religion=War?

    Religion=War?


    Or one of the lies that people tell each other.

    Typical of the historical illiteracy (and lies) that some of the most evangelical of atheist like to say is one of their reason for being atheists.

    “Religion has caused most most of the worlds wars.”

    “More specifically though, WWII was in every meaningful sense a religious war. Hitler came to power, on the back of a message straight out of the Martin Luther playbook;
    he was consistently supported by the catholic church and his entourage was shot through with people (like himself) extolling the most absurd religious ideas and concepts imaginable.”

    What you are looking at is a classic example of the sad stretching of facts, that we see when these evangelical atheists try to say a war was caused by religion.

     Only a total idiot would think that WW II was a religious war.

    The theory works like this. Did the people who went to war have a religion? As all cultures who ever existed have or had a region. So the answer is alway yes.

    Because their religion effected them in some way, the war must be due to that region. And whatever you do at all times just ignore the atheistic communists

    who hold all records for the number ofpeople killed in war or murdered for their cause.

    The facts are when you look at all of histories wars, asking yourself the simplest of questions. What started the war? Why was it fought?  The real answer is . . .

    Only 7% of all war were fought over religion. With a little more than half of those involving one religion Islam    . That’s right of the 1,763 wars chronicled in the

    “Encyclopedia of Wars” . 93% of all wars were fought for secular reasons.

     

  • Christianity is True

    Some reasons I believe

    1. It is a reasonable belief that God might exist.
     
    2. It is also reasonable that this God who might exist might be a personal God and be able communicated with human beings.
     
    3. The world’s religions are a reasonable place to look to see if such communication has happened.
     
    4. In the worlds religions, Jesus’  teachings seem to encompass most that is good in the worlds religions.
     
    5. The resurrection is a reasonable explanation for the existence of Christianity as a distinct belief system from Judaism.
     
    6. The evidence for the Resurrection is strong. (many eyewitness who were willing to die rather than say it they did not witness it).
     
    7. If the Resurrection is true, then what Jesus’ said about himself it true. He was God on earth.
     
    8. My personnel experiences matches what Jesus said they would be. Therefore I have personal verification of the truth of Christianity.
     
    9. Then comes Pascal’s wager, I await eventual verification of this conclusion after death, but haven’t lost anything if I am wrong. I will still live a very happy life. 

     

    Just off the top of your heads, do you have a reason for what you believe?
     
    It need not be more than one reason but it can be as many as you want and I am not going to beat anyone up over them, this is a personal thing

    There are some songs I just love to hear, but I hate them.

    Hinder’s – Lips Of An Angel is the worst of the lot. I love the way it sounds, but this is a song about a lying cheating couple. They are dirt bags, the lowest of lows.

    Its a love song about cheating and they have no plans on stopping.

     

    I feel bad liking it.

     

    Do you guys have any songs that make you feel almost guilty because you like the song?

    You want to think you are too high class, but you enjoy it.

    Even Hillery Clinton

    Everyone of them. (Maybe Hillary is sort of out of it now, but in her day she had them saying she should be beaten half to death in order to get her to drop out of the presidential race.) I have seen all of these woman, in the last seven days, in different places, described as some sort of ugly, evil, female dog, that the world would be better off without. In other words someone please kill them. Oh yeah, never forget to insult their looks more than once. Being conservative woman of course, they must also be stupid. Hillary being liberal, just call her a bitch two different ways. We all know liberals are so smart.(sarcasm alert!)

    I can’t think of a single woman involved in politics or political commentary who does not find themselves described in such terms. Yes the guys hear it as well, but nowhere near as often, and the insults are nowhere near as personal and vile. Obama gets called a socialist and a liar. And he is the number one male political target right now. He is drawing more fire than anyone else, though most of it is far from personal (liar). When you’re number one (and not telling the truth) what do you expect?

    But a Sara Palin is ridiculed constantly in the most personal ways (by people with half her IQ and none of her personal accomplishments). what is she? A past Governor and failed VICE presidential nominee. Not exactly the number one political opponent who needs to be shot down. Yet so many see fit to call her daughters whores and ridicule her baby. When not busy insulting everything else about her. Few of those who are insulting her, even know anything specific about her political views. Other than she is not liberal. Being folksy, a woman, and pretty is enough for them to hate her.

    I say we are seeing simple misogyny and nothing else. And oh yes, some of the worst misogynists are other woman.

  • Schools are Overfunded!

    On my entry about Prison rape, a comment was made about not being able to do anything about prisoners abusing each other. Because we do not have the money to do that. Our schools and even the prisons need that money. The original guy did not say this ( 2 others did) but, the position amounts to …

    “prisoners will just need to keep taking it in the ass, we do not have the money to help them”.

    I replied that our schools and prisons are over funded. School funding was not the topic but it is today.

    School Spending: And the almost religious belief that we do not spend enough money on them.

     

    The USA spends more money per student than every nation on earth, except the tiny nation of Switzerland. A nation that is very rich and its people have very small families (link)

     

     

    Our teachers are underpaid

    DO I need to mention that teachers work far fewer days than average to make that $51,380 per year? I do not think they are over paid, but they are well paid.
     
     
    The results: The USA’s schools, even though we spend more money than any other nation on earth and spend more per student than every nation outside of Switzerland.
     Out of 34 countries tested, the U.S. ranked 14th in reading, 17th in science and 25th in math.
     
    Are our schools really underfunded?
     
    Or is the problem the way we teach and not the lack of money?
     
    Do you have any suggestions on how we could improve our education system?
     
    About prison spending. We outspend the world, putting more Americans in jail and spending more money doing it than any other nation even comes close to doing. That is really not worth talking about because I doubt that anyone really did not already know that.
