Frivolous Friday
http://mtngirlsouth.xanga.com/ She just did a songs I hate entry. Go look at hers because she did a better job than this one
There are some songs I just love to hear, but I hate them.
Hinder’s – Lips Of An Angel is the worst of the lot. I love the way it sounds, but this is a song about a lying cheating couple. They are dirt bags, the lowest of lows.
Its a love song about cheating and they have no plans on stopping.
I feel bad liking it.
Do you guys have any songs that make you feel almost guilty because you like the song?
You want to think you are too high class, but you enjoy it.

I don’t know the name of the song, but I have heard it on the radio several times. It’s basically about drinking and partying and having entirely too much fun. While I’m not against fun, I do feel kind of guilty about liking a song that describes drunkenness and women taking off all of their clothes. The music is just so fun, though!
No worries, that song is nice because the video is cool. And you can tell he really means it.
I think of Run To You by Bryan Adams the same way. I love the music but the message is bad.
@musterion99 - Watch the music video. He’s talking about his guitar, not another woman.
Anyway, Toxic Love is one of those songs. It’s from the movie Ferngully: The Last Rainforest and basically the antagonist (Hexxus) is turning death, destruction, and pollution into a song about sex.
It’s performed by Tim Curry who did the voice of Hexxus in the movie.

Eddie Money’s Walk On Water. Cheats on a girl and asks forgiveness. Huh???
Yes. I have that situation with Psyclon Nine’s “Parasitic”. I hate it but I love it too.
This song was at it’s peak when we found out my father was cheating on my mom and then he moved out. Needless to say I hate it and it makes me really emotional when it comes on :/
You’ve been blogging a lot more lately.
@Celestial_Teapot - Yes I have.
@forever_musing - Im sorry I know a song can be associated with very bad things in a life
I don’t think about the songs I hate for a reason. I hate them.
@acomfortingcolloquy - I can understand that
nice yellow rose by the way
One of my favorite groups was Heart.I love most of their songs.One of their songs I loved the beat but this one the message was wrong. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAfxs0IDeMs All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You. I remember when it really hit me was when my step daughter,not even sure how old she was,made a comment about the song being a cool song.We talked about the words of the song and she thought it seemed ok that the girl in the song got pregneant wit another man because the man she was with she couldn’t have a baby with.I said “well,if your mother and I couldn’t have had any kids,wht if she went and got pregneant by some other man?Do you think that would be fine?” I caught her off guard.She never thought of it personally.She changed her mind about it after the talk.I hate that I love the song but hate the message!
@Celestial_Teapot -It’s Partly why I came back,because I enjoy how she makes LOW INFORMATION people squirm
@secretbeerreporter - After watching the video, you might be right but it also might be a double entendre.
I only just saw this! Thank you for the shout out!
“the unforgiven” by metallica.
This is one I like. Totally lacks any class.
Beans
pretty much any country song i happen to like, because country is categorically horrible.
Anything by The Rolling Stones makes me feel like a classless, tasteless, depraved, heathen, barbarian sex maniac.
That’s why they’ve always been my favorite.
It’s good to know that timestamping isn’t entirely dead.
@Celestial_Teapot - Im such an old dog
I loooove this song
I like a lot of hip hop/rap but when you listen to the song it makes you feel kind of bad singing about drugs, partying, tons of sex, pimping, etc etc etc lol
Like Pitbull! Man, he has some catchy songs… but it’s all pretty scandalous content
