  • Abercrombie & Fitch Says No to Overeating Gluttons

    But Yes to pretty materialistic whores.

    I  have been been watching Abercrombie & Fitch treat American’s youth as if they are materialistic dogs in heat.

    And now because they do not want the business of the fat, or old, or ugly, or a long list of others … we get unset with them. Of all the things that company does, not wanting fat customers is the least of their sins. They only want the young, pretty, and rich sluts in their stores.

    So do you really think that Abercrombie & Fitch would be just fine if they included fat, materialistic sluts to the mix?

  • If naked man butts are wrong, I don’t wanna be right.

  • @ShimmerBodyCream - But girl if being right means living without you, I would rather live a long wrong life.

  • Did the company do something or make some statement to prompt this post?
    And are those real pictures from their catalog? I’ve never seen one… never actually been in a store. It was a source of pride for me in high school, to not be “preppy”, and then after high school, I just wasn’t interested. What’s up with all the threesomes?

  • I”ve always hated trends and “fashion.”  I’ve never bought their stuff, but other clothing stores/brands always seemed to be inferior quality.  I also never really understood the whole, “ok, I pay you AND walk around with your brand all over me, being a walking billboard!?!  Great!”  Sorry, but if you want you label all over me, yer gonna pay me!

  • Probably just the young and rich people. I don’t know anyone who still shops there, besides high school students.

    Everybody else graduated to urban outfitters, American apparel or the coveted Thrift shop.

  • I was a high school teacher for a long time. I think Abercrombie and Fitch have today’s youth figured out.

  • @ShimmerBodyCream - I would offer you some. But that just wouldn’t be right!

  • Fat materialistic sluts rule! Don’t you girls worry your pretty lil heads about not being able to shop at Abercrombie & Fitch. Ain’t no need for clothes when you come on over to my casa. Aw yeah!

  • I’ve always despised A&F because of their pervy over-sexualization of teens, even when I was much younger and most of my friends were buying their clothes. Their catalogs made me blush back then and now they just make me feel sick. These messages are not the ones I want my daughters to be exposed to.

    The fact that their CEO came out as an a** who hates fat people was just another nail in their coffin for me.

  • I’m too old and fat for A & E, but I had teenagers not so long ago. They refused to even go in that store because, as they said, “it’s dark in there, it stinks, it’s too expensive and only jocks wear that shit.”

  • I think its completely wrong.

  • I think its completely wrong.

  • I am so glad my kids don’t want that crap on their backs.

    A while back, they did this whole thing about West Virginians. They made tee shirts that said , “It’s All Relative in West Virginia”.

    When I found out about this from Rick, I had even more reason to dislike them.

    However, given the shallowness and dimwitted-ness of today’s young people in America, this new thing ought to send their sales into record levels.

  • I don’t understand why people care. You don’t have to buy the clothes sold in his stores.

  • What they are doing in promoting sex. With the guy kissing the other guys forehead. That to me looks like a gay act.
    Young teen girl 18 patting the butts of naked girls looks like she wants sex.
    And it is ok for young children to see this smut.
    What happened to values.
    Guess those that like A&F have no values at all. They have their minds in the gutter.
    And yes this is part of their ads. I have seen it is mags while I am in waiting rooms.
    We need to get our heads out of the gutters, and if we stop buying their stuff when they have ads like this maybe they would get the idea not to have it. And goes for the Religious and nonreligious. Bro. Doc

  • I always liked how they used nakedness to sell clothes.

  • No wonder the CEO Mike Jeffries is hating on the uncool, fat kids and markets Abercrombie as some exclusive, elitist brand; Have you seen what an ugly son a bitch he is?

    Dude is obviously making up for some lost time and hurt feelings from high school with his shenanigans. And yes, I call this silly hype shenanigans.

  • @WaitingToShrug - They are all from their catalog and yes they are really under fire for the CEO saying they do not what the business of fat people. It took that to notice what sort of company this has been for years!

  • Aberwho?
    If I can’t buy it at Tractor Supply co, Bass Pro Shops, Wal-Mart, or Eddie Bauer (when I need my going out jeans- daddy don’t get dressed up for nothing) I probably don’t buy it.

  • @steph843 - I agree there is no way that boy ever qualified to be a customer of his own store

  • @Thatslifekid - Its great use hot bodies so you do nt even notice what little they have on

  • @BroDoc - Exactly this store is promotes the sort of promiscuity that basically kills. What better why to catch an STD than group sex

  • @Erika_Steele - I like some of them, but no I never supported that place.

  • Stupid link.
    Tractor Supply has some of the best prices on Carharrt

  • @Ghillies_guide - IU should have known that anything called tractor supple would sell the same stuff that “Work, Sports, and More” sold in my home town

  • Lol yes you should have small town girl.

    If it ain’t red, it stays in the shed

  • @mtngirlsouth - They were all the rage, when these semi porn ads was being used, so yes it is sad

  • @sweetashoneybutterfly8890 - And I completely agree with you

  • @gottobereal64 - In my day Abercrombie & Fitch pushed for the richer jocks, popular group of kids. Aeropostale is for the kids who are more earthy and have less money. Hollister is a more casual look middle of the road but still sort of athletic. Hot Topic was for the anti jocks goths and such. And I shopped a lot at work sports and more. Hick

  • @firetyger - Its not like we should have needed another reason to stay away from that store

  • @trunthepaige - Yeah, this didn’t come as a surprise to me to say the least.

  • lol A catalogue that doesn’t actually show clothes. It’s like, if you want to sell porn, why don’t you just sell porn.

    Seriously though, if they rule out certain customers, then that’s their (financial) loss- especially considering how many fat teenagers there are anymore.

    Capitalism works, period.

  • @gottobereal64 -
    Seriously. The perfume and volume of music in that store is so horrendous that you can smell it on another floor in the mall.

  • He’s allowed to sell whatever he wants, and in whatever size he wants. I am fine with him saying he won’t make bigger clothes for bigger people…because that’s capitalism.

  • I remember going into one of their stores years ago looking for some nice shirts and I started looking around and realizing the pictures on the walls and that there were way more pics of provocative looking dudes that girls. I kinda frowned because I sorta felt like I had stepped into the wrong club or bar if you know what I mean. Besides, the merchandise was way too overpriced anyways. Then I saw this skit on MadTV years ago. LOL!

  • Years ago, my wife applied for the job of manager in one of their stores. They said in the group interview that they only hire people that are models. So a person had to see themselves as a model in order to fit in there.

  • When I first heard about his comments, my initial thought was “what a dick”, but then I took a moment to see his side. He’s got a good point with the ice cream analogy and it reminds me of an old saying “When you try to please everybody you please nobody”. Kudos to him for picking his market and sticking to his decision even though it is an unpopular idea.

  • I have seen posts on facebook where some bands are saying that anyone wearing A&F to their concerts will be given a ticket refund asked to leave.

  • Simple solution-boycott-but I doubt that the young, skinny, good looking people will do that.

  • If you really think about it.  It’s funny how Abercrombie & Fitch fails to dress their clientelle properly (at least from the ads’ fanfare) and refuses to dress the obese.

  • Even though it’s a famous company: I’m surprised that Abercrombie & Fitch is the only clothing store being called out for not catering to sizes that don’t work for non-slender buyers. Tons of other companies do the same. Too many to name. All with serious sizing issues that look a little something like this:

    Small = XXXS

    Medium = XXS

    Large = Small

    X-Large = Medium

    (Or, if that may seem like an exaggeration, which isn’t always the case; Here’s another example.)

    Small = XS

    Medium = Small

    Large = Medium

    X-Large = Large

    (I don’t shop at a lot of these stores, so the X-Large may even be excluded. Which is craziness, in my opinion.)

    I seriously don’t know who they’re trying to kid. And it’s very sad.

    To answer your question: No, it wouldn’t be redeemable to go up in sizes. Just shop somewhere else people. I definitely wouldn’t want my (hypothetically speaking) tween/teen buying from a company that loves selling some sex on the side, as well.

  • Never seen so many gay men trying to have sex with a girl before.

  • @bluepillorredpill - I saw that at the time its prefect

  • bring on the fat slutz!

  • I’ve always been disgusted with this particular company, but I don’t see why everyone’s up in arms because they don’t want the business of fat people. I’m a fat guy myself but if I weren’t I still would want them less than they want me. They have every right to say they don’t want guys like me as customers and I have every right to make sure when Christmas comes around they don’t get any of the money I spend on my niece and nephew, whom they do accommodate.

    In a free market system everyone has the right to decide who their customer base will be. My dad won’t sell a longbow to anyone he even suspects is mentally disturbed. I do a lot of odd jobs but I would never take a job remodeling a basement into a “sex dungeon.” My brother won’t sell internet service to a guy he knows will use it for the distribution of child pornography. His girlfriend won’t sell rat poison to a man if she knows he’s going to use it on his neighbors’ dogs.

    That’s our right as businessmen. Sure we might lose money on that, but we know that going in. My dad doesn’t want his bows being used against a guy’s wife and kids when he snaps. I don’t want to have anything to do with a lifestyle that goes against my values. My brother doesn’t want to enable the exploitation of children. His girlfriend doesn’t want to support cruelty to animals. And these guys, while I can’t really think of a way of defending their values, don’t want to be associated with fat people. They’re not a government agency so it’s their right. A rather stupid decision since it limits their market share and thus their income, but a stupid decision that they have the right to make.

  • I totally forgot what you asked. Some of those man butts are nice.

  • Their ads alone are offensive, they didn’t even have to SAY anything at all.

  • @spicycajun - Exactly as if their biggest crime is targeting pretty rich kids and being honest about it

  • @dwmitch - Live and let live and I will keep my money and not spend it on corpts who are immoral, thank you very much
